Located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Cabarete has long been known as a water sports town.  Established in the 1980's as a great place to windsurf then reestablished in the 2000's as a  kiteboarding destination.  In more recent years, Brian and Manuel have foiled the local surf breaks and have completed countless downwind runs with the paddle, wing, foil assist, and parawing.  In 2026, the SFT Parawing World Cup chose Cabarete as one of its event locations and the downwind race was a huge success.
